1946 HOLTON Model 48 Pro Trumpet with Nice Original Case & Holton 65A Mouthpiece - Serial # 159700This Holton 48 is in unusually good condition for its age. It plays great with very good valve action and smooth slides. It responds very easily and blows freely. This 48 is an easy instrument to play in all registers. The bore size is ML (.459 inch) and the horn's tone is big, warm and full. The lacquer finish has been professionally redone at some point (not recently) and is still nice looking. There is no red rot or any dents. The 3rd valve slide has a good travel stop. The valves all have good compression and work fine with standard weight valve oils. The compact Holton case is original and is amazingly good for its age. All case latches work as they should and the handle is solid. The case interior has no odors and is clean. Also included is the original Holton music lyre.FREE UPS Ground Shipping within the USA. The instrument will be well packed and promptly shipped.
